“This abstracted work was an exploration of word ‘healing’. Canvas stretched manually, the piece contains contrast of purples and yellows. The depiction of flip-flops became a metaphor for walking away from a personal issue. The work is highly textured with gauze, to represent bandage; spackle paste was also used to further amplify this textured effect.”
